Mas des Capitelles
The 24-hectare vineyard of Mas des Capitelles is in the heart of the AOP Faugères. Old vines of Carignan, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grow up on this amazing terroir of altitude (250m), characterized by its southern exposure, its dry climate, its slightly acid soils and the influence on the northern wind.
Today the two brothers Cédric and Brice Laugé, are the proud holders of a ten-generation family know-how in the art of winemaking.
At Mas des Capitelles, the organic certified vineyard is cultivated respecting the environment using the biodynamic methods of Rudolf Steiner, based on natural treatments and herbal preparations. The grapes are harvested manually with an average limited yield of 20 hl/ha. Each cuvée is aged for a minimum of two years for developing their aromatic personality and offer generous wines with unique character.
